philnolan3d Posted September 30, 2009 Report Share Posted September 30, 2009 I understand the UV preview window is going under some changes along with the other UV tools, including navigation options and snapping the window to the interface. One of my concerns with it right now is that we have a gizmo that can scale the UV items, but I am afraid to use it because the preview window itself changes the scale of the UVs in it. There's no way of knowing if the window is perfectly square so tweaking the scale of an island might be the wrong thing to do, even if it looks correct. Javis Posted October 1, 2009 Report Share Posted October 1, 2009 I believe in the next build this will no longer be the case. I believe that the UV window will never "stretch" the view. You will be able to zoom and navigate in it, and use Shift-A to frame your selection. You should also be able to now dock the UV preview window, as it is now a tab!
