philnolan3d
I made a little video because I imagine some people might ask "what if I want to work on my Ptex texture in Photoshop?" Disney showed a method of flattening the selected polys out to you could paint that way. I don't know if Andrew plans to implement that or not, but if he does this would work even better. So this is just a quick demo of using 3DCs projection editing.

philnolan3d
Glad it was liked. I really hope Andrew can implement that "flattening" feature of Ptex. Then it would work just like UVs in Photoshop, only better.
Advanced Member T.H. ROCK Posted February 25, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 25, 2010 Where is the P-tex? Just downloaded the latest version.
Advanced Member 3DArtist Posted February 25, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 25, 2010 Now if we can get camera shortcuts to restore properly, then we can export multiple views for painting and be able to later apply them. philnolan3d
Where is the P-tex? Just downloaded the latest version. In the current version, 3.2.03, look under File > Import > Model for Ptex There's no hyphen BTW, apparently p-tex is some kind of snowboard repair product. You'll know you're in Ptex mode right away by this icon in the bottom of the left side tools
