Advanced Member jamie Posted April 14, 2011 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 14, 2011 Hi, Our user's home directories are on the server, which means my 3dcoat prefs/textures/tools get saved over the network. This slows the program down to an unusable level. How do I set the directory 3dcoat uses to store this information? I see there are config.txt and link.txt files, but I have no idea what they should contain. Thanks, Jamie Macdougall jamiem@image-engine.com 3d Generalist Image Engine VFX

Advanced Member jamie Posted April 24, 2011 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 24, 2011 This is very helpful. Since I've set the COAT_FILES_PATH variable pointing to a local disk I haven't noticed any of the stroke delays that have been plaguing me for last couple of weeks! Brilliant!
