Advanced Member johnnycore Posted February 23, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 23, 2012 Is there actually a way to save your UV's to a texturemap? Something like Maya's UV Snapshot function..? Sometimes I would like to do some old-school photoshop texturing. Have not been able to find this so far. Advanced Member polyxo Posted February 23, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 23, 2012 Paint-Room: You can Texture in 2D directly in 3DC with the Texture-UV-Editor found in the Texture Menu. Additionally you can send Textures over to Photoshop in any thinkable fashion from the Edit-Menu.
Advanced Member johnnycore Posted February 23, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 23, 2012 Thanks for your reponse, Im aware of directly painting into the UV-Editor, but I would like to export my UV's with wireframe to a texture file. When selling models on Turbosquid you need to submit a UV-Snap shot for checkmate pro for example. Well it is always possible to do this inside Maya, but I wondered if there was something like this in 3DCoat..
philnolan3d
You mean just a picture of the UV map? Can you just take a screenshot and crop it? You could even use the Screenshot option from Help > Upload Screenshot.
