    • is quad only coming to surface mode anytime at all?  it got confirmed abotu 2/3 years ago ... and nothing else?
    • yes, look at the date of the quotes. I was adding this quotes based on your version. Some improvements was done on version 2024 making it more stable.   Hi, let me clarify that "improvement" does not mean "adjustments" unless you give it better features to the existing ones such as new options or changes, if the function or tool is not implemented correctly in one version you cannot decide which adjustments come in one new version.
    • Agreed. Was disappointed to try and run 3DC on Linux Mint 22, and have it crash as soon as trying to import any file.
    • Hi! After going back after painting projection in photoshop I got this weird perforation on texture - dots that have a kind of pattern. What can it be?
    • yes, look at the date of the quotes. I was adding this quotes based on your version. Some improvements was done on version 2024 making it more stable. Spans define the amount of proportional loops After 2 double click over the pink curve, keep pressing the dot with LMB and drag to slide the new edge created to the new postion.     this tool don't save previous states in between sessions, only the curves used to create the mesh Need to Apply the mesh before close the session Or assign the curves to keep working on it
    • Thank You So Very Much!!! Textura is Awesome!
    • Thanks to all the responders but there are things to highlight: the creator of this tool recognizes that (Swept Surface N Geners) was uncomfortable to use and needs to be improved and it is not the first time I need help with this. What came to the fore was that when two double clicks on the pink line made it impossible for the new ring to form, I would log it once after my attempts and now it would be impossible. While there are other examples of which require correct explanation, in other ways I try to use them intuitively and they are usually very tedious.
    • how to add a texture in Blender to my model for support on this request please ask for support on the forum blenderartist.com and then send it to textura to paint on top of my original material  and keep both materials. Once you have the textures generated on Blender export  as .png file format -as example- and import the model (as obj or fbx) into 3DCTextura The export png images can be imported and applied to the model as new layers using the command Textures Manu > Import This video is outdated but the procedure is the same for new versions
    • This tool use 2 guide curves and 2 profiles  Double click command is used to add more edge loop to pink curves (guides) as show in the image below to select the curve use the pick icon command   Use Alt + LMB to rotate the viewport   Meantime for version 2025 the dev team is working in a new engine to make better tools for modeling. If you like can contact the developer of modeling room @Gorbatovsky to ask directly for any issue or feedback.   Sidenote: We offer 30 days trial mode, and the possibility of refund after the purchase day for other 30 days; to give to new users 60 days of time to test the app and know if it fill their needs.
    • Unfortunately, this tool turned out to be inconvenient to use and needs to be improved. Which? Surface Swept 2 or Swept Surface N Geners? I'm using 2022 version. The main reason I decided to purchase the software was to be able to use powerful polygonal surface modeling tools. Can you tell me which ones are the best and how to use them correctly? Thanks
    • This is still the same. I don't understand why retopo room strokes tool is connected to modeling room's selection tool. It would be good to have separate steady stroke options for the tools, or at least a global steady stroke toggle switch in the menus what we could use in these cases as workaround.
    • I guess I'm not sure what you mean, what do I import and what are the steps please. I'm using a texture from my asset browser on a model I'm working on right now which has a greeble look to it and I can see the differences on the model in dark and light gray tones but no color to it. So if you can could I get the steps I need to do Thank You!
    • Hello you can import external textures into your model on Textures menu > Import
    • Im new to textura and wanting to know how to add a texture in Blender to my model and then send  it to textura to paint on top of my original material  and keep both materials. I tried sending the model using the app link and the material looks grey in textura and in blender when I export it back to blender. Im using blender 3.6 and the newest version of textura. Any help would be greatly appreciated
    • First things first, this is to help out, i can run the app using the 20.04 version of the app (thanks for providing it :'D) just fine, but I'm on 22.04 so I used that one first. On Pop!_OS 22.04 if I use the 22.04 ubuntu executable to run 3DCTextura and open any 3b file, the application crashes. I have sadly no error log. I checked file permissions, graphics card outputs via nvidia-smi and glxinfo, couldn't find any problems. Also the output in terminal doesn't say much: ----------------------------------------------------------------- Environment variable "COAT_PEN" = empty (define the name of your stylus input device from the list below) Environment variable "COAT_ERASER" = empty (define the name of your eraser input device from the list below) Environment variable "COAT_MOUSE" = empty (define the name of your mouse input device from the list below) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Input Devices (source | "name" | mode) ----------------------------------------------------------------- 1. It's just a little bit much so I hide them for now. I tried running it via sudo as well. I exported a simple cube as fbx and obj files, imported them in 3DCoatTextura, saved, re-opened 3DCT, opened the file and crash. Please ask for any system information that would be helpful. I'm running an ASUS mainboard with "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz" and "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti", 64GB Ram, SSDs that have plenty of space. As said, when i use the "3dcoat-Ubuntu20.04" exec it opens the files. Maybe that is OK because of Pop OS and not Ubuntu being used. Maybe it's an error that now becomes part of future versions and that is why I post this here Thanks and have a good time! Rgds, Oli
    • Surface Swept 2 will perform better results As @@Gorbatovsky said
    • I managed to recreate it and shoot it on video. 2024-12-11_17-28-50.mov
