  1. Please send me the sample object to support@3d-brush.com, I will check what is the problem. May be (?) tomorrow and after tomorrow I will be away, in monday I will fix all issues..
  2. Hi! I have made beta 1 of 2.06. I think it could be interesting for you. The new features: 1) The new realtime preview in fill tool. 2) Now you can fill the material of object with the fill pattern. 3) You can fill the sub-object with the fill pattern. 4) You can use gradient filling in fill tool in much more intuitive way. 5) Cavity painting mode. 6) The bug for Intel GMA video fixed. Don't worry - most of other feature request I will implement in monday until 2.06 will be released. The link: http://www.3d-brush.com/files/3d-brush-2-06-beta1-en.exe Have a joy!
  3. Like I have told before - just import mesh without smoothing (choose it in import settings).
  4. We are trying to update manual as soon as possible. But the speed of development if more than manual updation. I will update the manual soon.
  5. 2.05 SP1 (or 2.06?) is coming in 1-2 days, there you will be able to fill every material/subobject separately, so it will be a pleasure to paint such kind of objects.
  6. Yes, I see the difference. ZBrush decreases amplitude of alpha at the edge but 3D-Brush performs radial gamma correction (radial distortion). It is easy to make fallof like in ZBrush. I think it is better in most cases. Other way - I can set how fallof will be done in every pen - using modulation of amplitude like in ZB or radial gamma correction like in 3DB.
  7. Just now have seen this thread. You can import mesh without smoothing and paint over it. It will look roughly but vertices positions will not be changed. As a result you can get not only color but also correct displacement and tangent space normalmap. Annother way - "Smoothing" is on and "keep positions" is on. In this case vertices also will keep positions.
  8. One of fx-es you can use even now - bulging (in layer options). It is like emboss in Photoshop.
  9. So erase/unerase with CTRL is what you need?
  10. Thank to all! The users feedback + developer responce is really great combination. I hope we will continue and together we will make 3DB really great tool. So I really thank to all of you. I have one more question - what do you think about sculpt tool in 3DB? Should it be improved and how? I think ZB & MB are very strong in this area, but 3DB may be not so strong in this. I have implemented most of standart functions there and even more, but I feel that sculpting itself is still not the main horce of 3DB.
  11. To do that you can set the transparency of layer that is mask in 0 in layer settings.
  12. Yo can fill a set of polygons using hide tool. Hide unnecessary polygons and fill the rest using fill tool. Also I plan to add "Object materials properties" to be able to change color/specular of the whole matrial. I think the last thing if what you really need.
  13. It is more than easy to do that for me, so what community think about this?
  14. I know that several peoples there know ZBrush well. I know Rimasson is famous ZBrush man. I have a question - how many things ZBrush have that 3DB lacks? And how many things that 3DB have but ZB - no?
  15. It could be good addition. One of future improvements.
  16. The work over curves is continued. Any suggestions are welcome. Let it be perfect! Yes, I will implement thes in next update. I can use SHIFT for constraints but the only problem is that SHIFT is used in pen mode for smoothing, so it will be strange if constrains will work only in curves mode. May be someone have good idea about this?
  17. Also there is another possibility to draw such arrows - using new masks (third icon from the top right).
  18. Now understand it better. Will think how to do that.
  19. You can scale width and height of the whole curve independently - just look at Width modulator and Depth modulator. Also you can change arrow direction (Back arrow) and proportion of the head (Profile parameter). I will look at the issues.
  20. You are right. Anyway will adjust spacing automatically in next version to avoid such things. In few days 2.06 beata1 (or 2.04 sp1 ) is waiting for you!
  21. Yeah, Photoshop has a good set of commands... I hope non-destructive curves layers, text layers and layer effects are not so far from realisation.
  22. Looks good! I think that ambient occlusion will grow the naturality, also sharp ring-like details could be add on the tale. Of cause specularity should be add. It could be interesting see how it looks with another camera position.
  23. It seems that you are working in pulverizer mode, so "additive mode" does not works. "Additive mode" works in standart pen because in pulverizer the depth is always additive.
  24. So, now all is done and well? Have you downloaded and installed it?
