  3. Hey do lo! Thanks. I don't think Mad Max would right in this either, but I do know the War Boys would.
  4. Hey Andrew. Thanks for all the updates recently. Is there any way you could look at performance when using multiple layers? I'm seeing a huge dip in performance when I have about 20 layers. Also there is a really nasty bug that makes syncing with PS completely unusable, when you have folders in the layers panel. When you sync with PS, save your PS file and come back to 3DC, the layers are all completely re-ordered in some arbitrary re-ordering. Some layers that were in folders are now in a different folder, and all of the folders are now nested within one another, when before they were siblings. These changes were not made by me in PS or 3DC, and required a fair amount of work to re-order. Thanks!
  5. Hi. Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to put that on my list of updates. For what it's worth, there is a thread on the forum for this. It can be found here:
  6. I haven't gone that high poly on any of my tests yet, but I'll give a go this weekend if I get some time. I do think Modos auto retopology is slower overall, than 3DCs. The topology though is more or less the same, with only slightly varying results. For comparison, my main workstation is an i7 4770K, 16GB ram.
  7. Hey Dimitri. That's a pretty serious regression, showstopper level., I would definitely send an email directly to Andrew.
  8. Modos auto retopology is the same as 3DCs, more or less. ZB does have the best implementation thus far, and, like you said, it's far from perfect. What confuses me is that so many people put so much stock into an auto function for generated meshes. I doubt unless serious advances are made, it will still be at least another 5-10 years away from being truly usable, in the way that you might not be able tell if it was modeled by hand or automatically generated. I stress might, because even then it might not be quite there. In the mean time, get to modeling, the whole lot of you!
  9. Hi, also which OS? Which export function are you trying to use, Retopo Room, Paint Room, Sculpt Room? So many ways to export that it's impossible to try to reproduce without knowing more.
  10. Hi, and welcome. Retopology meshes/objects do not go into the VoxTree. They go into the Retopo Objects tab. You can see it in the Retopology room after you've run through the auto retopology wizard. On a side note, why are you trying to auto retopologize that mesh? From your screenshots, the topology already looks great. What is your goal?
  11. Any particular forums? Or all of them? Some changes were automatically made when the forum software was updated, it's a real nuisance.
  12. Hi! Welcome. It looks like that you have different retopology objects/layers in the Retopo Object tab. If you don't see the tab you can find it under Windows>Popups>Retopo Objects. You'll want consolidate all of your separate meshes to one object. You can do this in the Retopo room, by selecting the Retopo Object first, then in the Retopo Objects panel, click the button that says "Select all faces in this layer", then select the object you want to paste it to, and click the next button that says "Move selected faces to the current layer". Once you do this you'll have one object, but the verts might still be unwelded. I would recommend at this point to export the mesh, run a weld command in Maya (sorry, I cannot recall the names equivalent from Modo to Maya). Once you've done this part, you can re-import that mesh with all the welded verts back to 3DC in the Retopo room via Retopo>Import. I would first delete your old mesh just to make sure there is no confusion. Now you can bake and resume the project as normal. I know it's a lot to read, but it shouldn't take too long to complete. I hope that helps.
  13. Hi, and welcome! Your retopology objects show up in the Retopology room only, if you go to that room, you should see your work there.
  14. Welcome! Thank you for sharing your presets.
  15. Hi and welcome Ashfire! With nothing but determination you can learn something, so I think you are ahead of the curve. Just get the right tools for the job (tablet) and you can start working on your craft. It sounds like you have your pipeline nailed down. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Looking forward you watching you're progression.
  16. Hey Noarts! Welcome. Is it possible to record a quick video showing what you're trying to do? You don't have to speak, just a quick demo of what's happening.
  17. Hi! That's definitely a bug. I'll pass this on to Andrew. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  18. I just ran through a few different exports, and it works fine on my end. So if you could explain a little bit more about your situation, it would help us solve your issue.
