  1. Fab! Thanks for the time and effort you put into putting these bundles together. Do you have plans for any more in the future?

Haha, yeah I should try a worn version with dirt, rust and scratches etc. I did put a few of your scratches PBR on it, but it's very subtle.
  3. Just finished my very first model from start to finish. Voxel sculpt > retopo (autopo & tweak), UV, paint.

  5. That sounds like a great idea - will surely tempt some people to buy the full sets after they get a taste.
  6. Silicon Power, I definitely recommend picking up some of Michaels PBR packs on Gumroad if you can -they are so cheap at the moment are are fantastic quality.
  7. Interesting! When you say painting 8K (or 16K), I assume you are talking about the UV size? I'm currently using the Educational version of 3DC so my UV sets are limited to 2K. Thanks for testing.
  8. More great materials Michael, picked up a few more sets at the Xmas prices . I realise this is probably not the right place, but I'm still having issue with paint quality and I'm sure you must know what I'm doing wrong (I'm a beginner). Take a look at this screenshot: http://imgur.com/jvqhzd4 I start up 3DC, select "Paint UV mapped mesh" and select the webcam looking object. When looking at smart materials in the preview window, everything looks extremely high quality, however when I go to paint, the quality (although good), does not have the same resolution as the preview.

Wow, that's excellent. What did you use for the sculpt?
  10. I downloaded a bunch of these sets today - absolutely brilliant! Thanks for creating these.
  11. I had an issue with slow Autopo when my mesh was non-uniform. Have a check along the bottom status bar on 3D coat and see if there is any red text.
  12. Thanks for the replies so far guys. You can find an example of what I'm finding with painting direct onto the model here: http://imgur.com/a/lYVyK Interestingly, I tried a few different smart materials (ones that I created myself) and those appear to paint with the same amount of quality, regardless of whether I apply direct to mesh or UV. Voxels were turned off in the paint room and I'm on version 4.5.19.
  13. Hi all, I've got a few beginner questions, apologies if the answers are obvious: I am currently painting a shield model that I created (Voxel > Surface > Autopo > Bake > Paint). I select 2K UV's. When I paint a smart material directly onto the model, the texture is quite low resolution, however when I paint directly onto the UV map, it is considerably higher texture quality that gets painted onto the model. I unfortunately don't have any screenshots at the moment, however does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this? When I create a Smart Material with a texture image in one of the channels, what is the correlation between UV resolution and the resolution of the texture itself. For example, if I create a 1k UV map, but use a 4k resolution for the texture, is my 4k texture downsampled? Do I lose texture quality? When painting a UV, what is the general practice for blending areas between seams? Any help much appreciated. If you need me to post screenshots, I can do so tomorrow. Cheers.
  14. I'm really liking the redesign, much more modern and fresh. When you compare the old site to the competitors, 3Dcoat was quite far behind.
  15. Ah OK, that makes sense. I've been looking at Michaelgdrs's Smart Materials on Gumroad - I think I know what I will be buying shortly!
  16. Hi folks. I'm a relatively new user to 3D Coat and I've having trouble installing the materials found on the 3D-Coat website (link). For example, I download 3DC_bricks.3dcpack, do File > Install Extension > Restart 3D-Coat, however the "Bricks" folder in the Smart Materials section is empty. The only two icons are "Close" and "New". Is there anything else I need to do to get this to work? Thanks!
