  1. Hi, I renamed Layer 0 to Blend. BUT there was a Layer 1 added to the default and that didn't do anything either when painting or anything else so I deleted it. Maybe the Layer 0 should be named Base Layer with a pop out explaining what it's for when one hovers over it. I had no idea that it was the base layer or that it couldn't be deleted. I'm sure it's in the manual but I didn't read that section I guess. Also thinking about the stack above if I do create another layer shouldn't it be ABOVE so when I paint or smudge or anything like that and set that layer to some blend it will affect the entirety of the layers below it?
  2. So there is a new figure I'm working with. The older figure's UV's are sort of set up to work with the newer figure but the there is a discrepancy in a few areas I'd like to make the blend layer work for me to smooth out areas and what not but I can't figure out how to enable it properly! figures textures maps. I need some help understanding how this layer actually works. PS. I only need the color information, no depth needed. Thanks so much Richard
  3. Thank you. So what does the reflect option do then? I was assuming it was like using symmetry but seems to do nothing when I tested it out going in either direction so I gave up and just turned on Symmetry. Also, this seems like perhaps a silly question but is there a way to use the Stencil to flood fill a layer? I found my exported maps to be really bad, like in some areas the stencil laid down correctly, other areas looked stretched and other areas looked smeared. So I'm back in Photoshop doing it the old school way as that's not something I could use. Thanks again! Richard
  4. Hi, I like the idea of using the Stencil tool but wondering if there is a way to have it keep the same ratio regardless of my zooming in and out little bits here and there. I also don't understand the reflect icon as when I click it nothing happens so I turned on symmetry and that's working fine. I'm using Textura not the full program. Thanks so much Richard
  5. Is there a proper name for these two that I can search for? I have a Discord account but these links are asking me to set up a new account. I don't want to do that.
  6. Seems that Depth is set to the default of 50%. Do you know what a vein map looks like set to that? LMAO It's quite ugly and scary. 1.0 is my default for that setting to get a realistic effect for the Normal map but yea, when I restart Textura it's set back to 50%. So I'd like to know if there is an area where I can set and forget settings like that. Thanks so much Richard
  7. When I was waffling back and forth between the many paint programs I THOUGHT Blender and I would be a good match but importing brushes there is sort of a learned art with how many different things you have to do to get them in there and assign an icon to each one. With Textura / Coat it's easy as browsing to where the alphas are, multi selecting how ever many you want and the program does the rest. Easy peasy. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this ease of use.
  8. I thought there was as there is a link in the developers sig line but Discord couldn't find it. Thanks Richard
  9. Hiya, It would be really really nice and more elegant if there were a way to have all the panels in one "asset browser" sort of set up. The interface can get very crowded and clunky looking when one is adding docked panel after panel to the UI to get a work flow set up. Also there is no way for me to drag panels to my other monitor to lighten up the amount of panels needed to work. As advanced as Textura and 3DCoat are I would have expected that to be already implemented. The large screen shot works OK but yea, could be a little more lighter if I had a way to push some of those panels to my second monitor! Thank you Richard
