  1. OK, here's a sneaky tip then I use the "extrude tool" with a pointy brush (curved profile) and extrude the edge a little, then use vox pinch on it - try it Cheers! Ren
  2. Yoshimitsu? For sharp edges try the "vox pinch" tool.
  3. Just thought about this. Here's an example of dual quaternion skinning: http://isg.cs.tcd.ie/projects/DualQuaternions/ good example of the difference between linear & dual quat here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoVVM6moID8 I think this would be good for posing voxel sculpts without losing volume. What do you think? Cheers! rb452k
  4. Another thing from today
  5. Ok here's a back view: And something else I've been messing with: No details on game I'm afraid, still all preprod stuff! Cheers!
  6. Here's the first, for a game I'm working on. Cheers! Ren
  7. Pretty sweet! What are the approx. costs on this?

    HELP!

AAAAAGH! I made an error & didn't have a backup copy! I have sliced a chunk out of my voxel sculpt like this: Can I fix it somehow & get it back to being symmetrical? Cheers! Ren
  10. Will do this when I get home, thanks Andrew!
  11. Hi there, Is it possible to run 3d coat on this hardware? I'd love to run 3d coat on my lil' tablet pc. But Both direct X & open GL versions fail to run with shading errors. Is it possible? Cheers! Rich
  12. Excellent stuff, I had to fire it up & have a quick go with transpose
  13. Thanks! I acutally tried this & it worked exactly how I wanted, so I am all happy! Cheers! Ren
  14. LOL, ignore this, I just did the operation & it works how I wanted This product just gets better the more stuff I find
  15. OK, but that would get me a low-res paintable mesh - is it possible to get the hi-res mesh?
  16. OK, but how do I get the hi-res detail from the volumetric sculpt? Am I missing something?
  17. Quick head model sketch. I continue to try & find a workable method to get this into a sculptable mesh! Suggestions/help greatfully received! Cheers! Ren
  18. Hello there! Is there a preferred method of doing this? To get to a sculptable/paintable mesh for finer detail work? Something to do with the "big mesh" import function? Is anyone doing this? Cheers! Ren
  19. Very nice. From the thumbnail it looked like dripping flesh!
  20. I tried the UV tools in 3dcoat & liked them, I found keeping a UV set on an imported model gave draw errors, so I let 3dc do it's own UVs. My preffered method at the moment goes something like this: 1. model in max/maya 2. Do UVs in 3dcoat 3. export back to max, re-organise UVs to suit me. 4. Work in 3dcoat 5. bring hi-res mesh out of 3d coat, textures & all. 6. Bake textures onto low-res mesh (and normals) within max. Seems to work for me
  21. Hi there! I'm trying out the alpha to see how I can use it to make stuff for the games I work on. That's a skull model I made in volumetric sculpt in about an hour (from a sphere) and then retopo'd a low-res & made a normal map, as I'd use in game. The green one is volumetric, the white ones are hi-res & low-res with normal map! I am enjoying this program a lot Cheers! Ren
