Advanced Member jaf Posted September 2, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 2, 2008 Never Mind I think I have got it.. Hi Scott. I wondering what you found out that fixed the problem. I can't even get a plain old six sided cube to import correctly from Lightwave (or Silo). I uncheck the smoothing and select 6 from the drop-down resolution list and select auto-map. But I keep getting a weird looking mesh. I can load that cube in Silo, Vue, Terragen2 or UVMapper Pro, but not 3D-Coat (gl or dx). I assume it's something I'm doing wrong. Advanced Member Monsoon Posted September 3, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 3, 2008 Try deleting seams and/or clusters and then let 3dC auto seam it. That seemed to fix any model display issues I've had like this.

Stay default carcass resolution. If it will not help, post your cube there
Advanced Member jaf Posted September 3, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 3, 2008 It's the simplest cube one can make. Six sides -- six poly's. Eight edges. I deselect smoothing and chose "6" from the carcas resolution.

Advanced Member wailingmonkey Posted September 4, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 4, 2008 seems to be working fine over here: here's the exported cube from Silo 2.1: http://www.wailingmonkey.com/images/3dcoat/cube-test.zip
