Member Andrei Samardac Posted July 25, 2013 Member Report Share Posted July 25, 2013 Tell me pleas what I'm doing wrong. First image is preview in 3D coat, second render in C4d. As you can see there are artifacts in C4D, normal maps are imported in C4D. What I'm doin wrong?

Advanced Member Marc Wakefield Posted July 25, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted July 25, 2013 Hi Samardac, You will want to unwrap UVs in 3D Coat manually to get the best results and you will want to edit the stretched polygons or retopo the object completely. The Automatic tools are really useful and you can also use guides to get the correct topology but I always prefer doing things by hand. It's best practice and good for the soul. Member Andrei Samardac Posted July 25, 2013 Author Member Report Share Posted July 25, 2013 Good thanx) But I still hav no Idea why in 3D coat it looks good and in C4D not.
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted July 25, 2013 Contributor Report Share Posted July 25, 2013 Different rendering engine, different rules. Actually, it might be handy if the 3DC renderer showed the streched polygons. If you want to repair it (it is a doodle, right?), Autopo strectched polygons can be deleted and replaced with some manual ones, saving having to do the whole thing by hand.
