Psmith
A long time ago I bought a program called Amorpheum Pro. The last I checked, it hadn't been upgraded for quite a few years. Still, it had a very interesting set of tools, one of which I found almost useful - the "wax" toolset. It had, at least partially, the right approach to creating volume from nothing by adding "wax". You could control the relative density of the wax blobs, and could push/pull, melt, and smooth, but were restricted to pretty low resolution meshes, in the long run. It was very difficult to produce an object like a hand with fingers, but it could be done. The program also gave you the ability to edit the relative size of the blobs, after the fact, by converting the resulting mesh to a straight "metaball" structure. I'm pretty sure this was an early example of a voxel based modeler. Does anyone know for sure? Does anyone still find this program useful? Thank you, Psmith

Psmith
Yes, that is the product, (sorry about the spelling). Quite an advanced piece of software and years ahead of its time, don't you think? Psmith
Andrew Shpagin
I have downloaded trial, but was not able to find voxels modeling there. Only surface pulling...
Advanced Member TOXE Posted September 19, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 another software that have nice features is CBmodel Pro that is free. But no voxels here, the nice thing is that you can add geometry using balls, but to be honest sometimes it don't work very well. http://www.cbmodelpro.com/ -TOXE
