Member Andrei Samardac Posted July 30, 2013 Member Report Share Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) Why in Cinema 4D, normal maps that was backed in 3D coat, have artifacts? In 3D coat everything looks good. What I'm doing wrong? Edited July 30, 2013 by samardac

Member HunterWolf Posted July 30, 2013 Member Report Share Posted July 30, 2013 You consider that I can't distinguish the file of the 3D format from the file of the 2D format

Advanced Member Marc Wakefield Posted July 30, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted July 30, 2013 Hi Samardac, The issues in the first image seem to be linked to the UV mapping. Try clearing all seams in the UV room then making your own so that you have a cleaner UV layout. This may help. When ever I make a 'quickie' object in 3D Coat, to test things in unity the seams on auto UV's generally look a bit dodgy. When I create my own, I get much better results. I had a look at your 3B file and the UVs were pretty messy and disjointed. Are you also exporting objects with padding on the UV map? Cheers,
