Advanced Member b33nine Posted November 29, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 29, 2013 I'm hoping I just accidentally turned some feature on or off, but I can't see the edges of polys I create in the retopo room in the DX version of 3d-coat. I tested, and I can see them in the GL version. It's been several versions now that it's been the case, I don't use the retopo room much at all, but I noticed it recently and I'd like to figure out why I can't see them. Using 4.0.10 on windows 7. Can you ALT + SHIFT + S so we can see what it is you are referring to? Could be a bug, or something else, but can't tell blindfolded. Member mansfield Posted November 29, 2013 Member Report Share Posted November 29, 2013 Hi all, Just to add, as I am also suffering from this issue - if you zoom out you can then see the retopo mesh and edit it. Once you zoom back in, the editable retopo mesh does indeed vanish.
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted November 30, 2013 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) It's working fine here (4.0.10A), but I'm using the DirectX (DX) version, as I have never liked the OpenGL one. It's always seemed to have some display issues and never seems to perform as well as DX. BeatKitno would tell you the same. Maybe try...per Andrew's instructions...to go into your MyDocs/3D Coat V4/Shaders directory and delete everything EXCEPT your custom folder. I would also delete the Options.xml file in your MyDocs/3D Coat V4 folder. Then re-install the latest build and see if that doesn't fix it. That Options.xml file can get corrupted once in a blue moon, and exhibit some bug-like behavior. Advanced Member b33nine Posted November 30, 2013 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 30, 2013 deleting options.xml cured both the retopo edge bug and the blocky font artifact issue. You'd think I would know to check that first by now, but I guess we all need a reminder every now and then. Thanks!

Member mansfield Posted December 1, 2013 Member Report Share Posted December 1, 2013 Confirmed - deleting the options.xml did indeed do the trick.
