Member lionroot Posted January 8, 2016 Member Report Share Posted January 8, 2016 Hello, I'm trying to do some hard surface sculpting using Vox Hide and Unhide. As I tried Unhiding areas, I noticed I get alittle ring that looks like the two pieces were "welded" together. Does anyone know how to remove it, or is it a bug? Thanks! Advanced Member Ballistic_Tension Posted January 9, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 9, 2016 so you vox hide a area then did some work along the seam ? or this is showing up when you hold ctrl and unhide that area talking that it is raised up that little bit. I have the same build 4.5.03 win 8.1 and tried to reproduce could not. I did get a rough edge like you had when did smooth out where they meet but just increased res once to smooth out or Resample to increase as needed. Advanced Member arumiat Posted January 9, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 9, 2016 The vox hide tool seems a little unstable, I'll often get the hidden voxels appearing with a slightly different scale & with weld marks. If I use it I try & perform only 1 or 2 operations in between re-showing the voxels
Member lionroot Posted January 13, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted January 13, 2016 I'm on a mac, so maybe that's why there's an error. Yours is crisp Ballistic?. I did no smoothing. Thanks. I wound up duplicating it, cutting, then merging to get crisper seams.
