Member Alienhand Posted June 22, 2016 Member Report Share Posted June 22, 2016 Hey guys first of all lemme say I love this program retopology baking it's bloody amazing. That being said I've recently been getting an issue that halted any progress. I use to be able to import dense meshes of 8-9 mil poly and retopologizing now I can even import a 1 mil polygon mesh without running into lack of virtual memory. I've reinstalled 3d coat I've even wiped everything and upgraded to Windows 10 and reinstalled still have the same issue and I have 16 gigs of ram available I don't know what to do. Thank you to any who help me with this issue I greatly appreciate it

Carlosan
Steam can support Beta program, there is a tab under 3dcoat properties, many app use it to provide preview and beta program.
Member Alienhand Posted June 22, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted June 22, 2016 Oh so I've got a beta one? But I did have this issue before I downloaded and reinstalled the latest version from steam. Could it be a graphics card issue mine is kinda sitting the bed and really need to replace it but that shouldn't effect memory right? Carlosan
How many Vram your graphic card have ? are you using GL or DX version ?
Member Alienhand Posted June 22, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted June 22, 2016 I got a nvidia GTX 670 but had it for like 4 years and is slowly capping out but it says my memory 10158 mb
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted June 22, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted June 22, 2016 That's very low. VRAM should at least have 1000000 mbs, I'm no techie but DX and GL both need some VRAM to do their thing.
Member Alienhand Posted June 22, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted June 22, 2016 Huh thanks for the info I didn't know lol so vram is on the graphics card? That settles it I need a new one. Back like 2 years ago it was no problem everything worked fine... now it doesn't even acknowledge a second monitor plugged in
