Member CheekFace Posted January 8, 2017 Member Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 Hey, My paint objects after Retopoing a Voxel Sculpt isn't creating a model when I move into the Paint Room. A Paint Object is created in the Paint Object window, but there's no model displayed in the display window (Other than the Voxel Sculpt which isn't a Paint Object). It's odd, I've exported the OBJ from Retopo and when I open it in other programs, the polygon/triangle count will be displayed, but no model is visible with no way for me to edit it. I've also tried exporting the voxel sculpt as an OBJ, with the same result. An ghost model, that has a UV map and a polygon count but no visible or editable mesh. Any Ideas? I've created new projects and haven't run across this issue again. It's only one of my projects causing this issue. Any help would be awesome, Thanks. Contributor Tony Nemo Posted January 8, 2017 Contributor Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 I have to ask, did you uncheck "Show Voxels in Paint Room"?
Member CheekFace Posted January 8, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 Heya, No I didn't, at least not that I'm aware of. When would I have this checkbox as an option? After baking in the Retopo room I moved over to the Paintroom, hid all the layers in the Voxtree and there's nothing visible in there. In the Paint Objects window, it shows that I have one and that it should be visible but there's nothing there to see or paint on.
Member CheekFace Posted January 8, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 To update, I've now tried it with both "Show voxels in Paint Room" unchecked and checked, with the same results.
Carlosan
Are you using the latest version ? Are you working in the right UVset ?
Member CheekFace Posted January 8, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 This was created in 4.7.06, however I sent the project file over my co-worker who opened it up in the newest version and had the same issue. Details: Exporting Retopo Model results in an OBJ file with no mesh, but does have point data. (programs are recognizing it's poly/vert Exporing Vox model as OBJ results in file with no mesh, but does have point data. Exporting Retopo and UV mapped model results in OBJ file with UV map but no mesh. I've attached the scene to this comment. It really feels like it is corrupt or something. I've retopo'd several voxel sculpts before and since and have never experienced this issue when exporting or baking. Chestlid.3b
Member CheekFace Posted January 8, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 Oh, and yes I'm using the right UVset. I even tried creating a new set and moved all the faces to the new one and the new UVset also didn't work.

Carlosan
It really feels like it is corrupt or something, right. Please send the project and support-related questions to Andrew Shpagin at support@3dcoat.com ty
Member CheekFace Posted January 9, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted January 9, 2017 I just got this reply when I tried emailing that address: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: support@3dcoat.com
Carlosan
I remembered time ago a similar issue with scene scale changing it to 1 solve the issue
Carlosan
Remember to change this settings too: RMB over the mesh layer > to global space (the red number at the middle bottom display is a warning) name correspondence for baking = off
