Member GrzegorzWięcek Posted July 19, 2018 Member Report Share Posted July 19, 2018 Hello guys, I was wondering for a long time untill now, how can I paint stitches, cloth seams on low poly objects. Should I use alpha brushes? or sculpting brushes to this purpose? There are some Z brush sets but I'm not sure if I should do it in Sculpting room, or Paint room. Could I create a brush in Photoshop and paint on a texture normal map ? Sory, I'm bit confused, is it painting stil,l or is it sculpting matter already??? if you know what I mean Thanks in advance
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted July 19, 2018 Contributor Report Share Posted July 19, 2018 Sculpt room detail gets baked in Retopo and has way more choice in brushes and techniques than Paint room. Paint room has PBR. At anytime you can link to PS.

Member GrzegorzWięcek Posted July 20, 2018 Author Member Report Share Posted July 20, 2018 Thanks guys, although your advice are very handy and helpful, and I will take a closer look to them, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I need to achieve very high level of realism like I attached in the image below the post. Some time ago I found a tutorial from Poliigon.com presenting a brush sets like this Can I use them in 3D Coat? Can I create them by myself in Photoshop like this guy Arrimus 3D is doing on this second tutorial??

Carlosan
Strips Strips allow you to make repeating patterns along your strokes. Strips use black and white images, similar to Brush Alphas. The Strip will also be filtered through your Brush Alpha, allowing for more advanced painting effects. A example of using a Strip, is stitching on clothing or shoes, bullets on a bandolier, etc. Strips work primarily in the Paint Room, but can also be used with some of the sculpting tools in the Sculpt Room. Strips do not work in any other room.

When I paint it creates this unwanted circle around the alpha area. In the preview window alphas looks fine, without any circular shape around Any ideas what I did wrong? Screen Shot 2018-07-23 at 13.14.35.psd sorry, I made a mistake while creating my brush, now it works fine, how can I delete my last quote (above) Thanks a lot.
