[Fixed] extrude only works when object scale is exactly 1x

version 4.9.57

extrude + poly line selection tool only is working when object scale is exactly one.

Trying to run a few tutorials on hard modeling, works in tutorial but not in this version.

Am I missing something?

This seems to be a recurring bug with other versions

Hello

Try this please

RMB over the layer > To Global space

Sets the VoxTree objects space to be set to world space, at 0 on X, Y & Z axes.

Then use any tool.

my flow

new

voxel shaping, select large sphere

voxel extrude tool

vertex lasso, or any of the lasso or spline selections

make a shape, extrude appears on sphere

res+, layer scale goes to 2x

make a shape, extrude does NOT work, ( regular brushes work but none of the lasso or spline tools,)

rmb over object, click to global space, looks like it does something

make a shape, extrude still does not work

rmb over object, increase object two times, scale indicator on layer disappears, assuming exactly 1x

make a shape, extrude works again.

Are you using the old curves or the new beta ones. 

If you are using  the new ones, I posted in the Beta forums that the voxel brushes in conjunction with the new curve tools needs testing to correct unexpected behavior which includes some of the same problems you are addressing.

I have not tested the surface mode brushes.

I tested the old curves.

I do confirm what is happening with the old curves. Increase the resolution of the layer and some of the poly spline tools stop working.

I installed version 4.8.15D and all spline tools are working at different object scales
