Member DMG Posted December 9, 2023 Member Report Share Posted December 9, 2023 Hi, I have a quick question about the Knife tool. I understand the basic functionality as clearly shown in the video Carlosan posted above, but the tooltip and documentation says "Also, you can draw a polygon by two points." Maybe something is being lost in translation, but that sounds to me like there's a bit of extra functionality that I haven't figured out yet. Can anyone elaborate? Cheers, Derek

Member DMG Posted December 9, 2023 Member Report Share Posted December 9, 2023 Ahhh! I'd completely overlooked the Tool options, and was just going by the tooltip on the left-hand tool menu. Most other software with a Knife tool has very 'focused' functionality that just cuts lines that you draw out. That polygon generation option in 3DCoat is brilliant. Thanks Gorbatovsky. 1
Member captainbuckfish Posted May 3 Member Report Share Posted May 3 love the knife tool but is there a way to repeat the same size of the cutting polygon? Trying to get the same size cut over different parts of a mesh and having to guess the size isnt ideal.
Member captainbuckfish Posted May 4 Member Report Share Posted May 4 Maybe if there was an option to add a specific size of the cutter then you could repeat the cut all over the mesh. If there is another method of making circular cuts (I tried bevel on points but then you have to add cuts to make circular) then I would love to hear it. Enjoying modelling in 3dcoat as well as sculpting. Thanks

We need to think about this. Thank you.
