I would like the ability to just CTRL +select multiple layers in the sculpt tree, and then hit a hotkey and put them all in a new layer group.  Basically the ability the group multiple layers with a hotkey.  In addition, the ability to move more than one layer at a time into a parent layer is something that is sorely lacking.

+1 , same for paint layers. Pretty standard functionality. 3D Coat one of the most amazing, if not the most amazing artistic program ever created, and, has a ton of features and functions other programs lack and not even remotely offer, even industry standard software. However, it still lacks fundamentals like these in 2024.

Sculpt tree layers not the layers panel I am talking about as you mentioned Sculpt tree.

You can select several separate individual layers holding down the Ctrl key and LMB.

Group them by clicking on the grouping icon, Far right bottom icon in the Sculpt tree panel. A hotkey can be assigned to this grouping function.

Shift + LMB will select several sculpt tree layers in a row.

Select the first layer, then Shift + LMB the last layer you want then use the grouping function.

+1, for the same ability using Paint Layers or if using Surface mode Sculpt layers which uses the same layers panel as paint layers.

Windows versions 2023.41 and 2024.04 beta.
