Applink Developer haikalle Posted January 28, 2010 Applink Developer Report Share Posted January 28, 2010 Here is a picture to help to understand this feature. Also It would be nice when you zoom, the 2dgrid origin would stay at pivot. I have said this before but I think that this could be a easy to do feature but would help us a lot. Member midnight.mangler Posted April 4, 2013 Member Report Share Posted April 4, 2013 +1. At least enable an option to lock the 2d grid to the mesh, so when we zoom or transform it doesn't go out of whack. When using snapping with splines sometimes I need to zoom in or out and then I have to recenter the grid - and it is never 100% accurate. With this simple addition, 3D Coat would be the PERFECT tool for my needs!

Advanced Member popwfx Posted April 5, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 5, 2013 +1 yes good idea (and while you are at it respecting the object's pivot - make "No Center Snap" default - 99% of the time I want the center to be whatever exact center I set up when modeling, I generally don't care as much about the bounding box center )
