Taros Posted May 4, 2010 Report Share Posted May 4, 2010 3.2.11 I have a problem merging meshes from retopo room into voxel area. See attachment for more infos. How to reproduce: 1. Move into retopo room 2. Merge a model file by using "drag and drop", from outside 3d Coat. Click "MergeRetopoMesh". 3. Now move to voxel room. 4. Merge object from retopo room, but don't change size. 5. Move back to retopo room. The merged object is bigger than the original in retopo room, but it should have the same size! Why I need this workflow? Because I am using the low-poly basemeshes to produce normalmap information in voxel area for them. Then I am using the low-poly mesh as a retopo template. Andrew Shpagin Posted May 11, 2010 Report Share Posted May 11, 2010 I can offer better workflow: - merge object directly in voxel room, choose corresponding size to preserve details. - choose "Yes" - modify - load initial mesh in "retpo" room.
