Member nexust56 Posted July 22, 2011 Member Report Share Posted July 22, 2011 Hi guys, Im retopoing in 3dcoat using a zbrush face model, so the symetry and stuff are turned on and ive retopoed it bot sides, but when I export it to maya I only get one side of the low poly mesh and the vertices along the middle are not aligned in center. Please help
philnolan3d
Retopo symmetry is only temporary it's not actual geometry. While Symmetry is still on go to Retopo > Apply Symmetry (to one layer or all) now you can turn off symmetry with the menu or S key and you will have both sides of the model ready to export. For what it's worth, there is also a little double arrow icon at the bottom of the Retopo layer group panel for the "Apply Symmetry to layer." Javis
What they said. Interesting, this has come up a couple of times today. Must be a retopo kind of day!
