Advanced Member The Candy-floss Kid Posted December 12, 2011 Advanced Member Report Share Posted December 12, 2011 From Wickepedia :"Arthur Thomson (21 March 1858, Edinburgh 7 February 1935, Oxford) was a British anatomist and anthropologist. He is best remembered for his formulation of Thomson's Nose Rule, which states that ethnic groups originating in cold, arid climates tend to have longer and thinner noses, while the noses of those from warm, humid climates tend to be shorter and thicker.[1] The longer nose is an adaptation that heats and moistens inhaled air in higher latitudes." A sweet find full of great illustrations. Member RandyBonnette Posted December 19, 2019 Member Report Share Posted December 19, 2019 (edited) Quote One of the most useful books for artists: An Atlas of Anatomy for Artists (Dover Anatomy for Artists) by Fritz Schider. But here's one more - Scott Eaton's tutorial on 3D anatomy tips for artists and sculptors:https://www.scott-eaton.com/outgoing/3dWorld-anatomy-tips-by-scott-eaton-author-tutorials-writemyessay-pdfs-archived A complete guide for anatomy tricks in 3D art. Just to have all handbooks and tutorials in one place. Does anyone have a pdf copy of Anatomy for 3D Artists: The Essential Guide for CG Professionals by Chris Legaspi? I had a bookmarked page on better-digital-artist, but the page gives me an error. Edited December 19, 2019 by RandyBonnette
