Advanced Member David Schoneveld Posted November 16, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 16, 2012 I have a jacket with a few parts. I'd like to make a few large adjustments to the overall shape but there are a few layers that make up the jacket. Is there a way to edit a few layers together, like If I want to use the move tool on more than one layer at a time?
Advanced Member David Schoneveld Posted November 16, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 16, 2012 after searching the forums etc. I think you cannot yet do this. I did it by hand in each and just didn't make as large an adjustment as I would have. Also the other times people have asked this question it goes unanswered hah so there you have it. Reputable Contributor digman Posted November 16, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted November 16, 2012 When using the Move tool, select "through all volumes" in the top menu interface... This will appear in the top menu depending upon which tool you are using... I answer as many questions as I can but I need to spend time sculpting as well... Member rs3d Posted April 9, 2013 Member Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 "Through all Volumes" would be a great option for the other Voxel Tools as well!
Member NecrochildK Posted March 9, 2018 Member Report Share Posted March 9, 2018 Really wishing they had it on all brushes even now. Wanting to alter two layers in sculpt at the same time and I can't merge them for what I'm doing. Five years and they still haven't made this an option.? Reputable Contributor digman Posted March 10, 2018 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted March 10, 2018 (edited) Auto-pick will allow you to use most regular brushes across layers. Upper tool bar--- Auto-Pick. Hope it helps some. Edited March 10, 2018 by digman

If you are in surface mode you can "merge with no-Booleans" do your business then "object-ify ( seperate)" A bit convoluted for what you want but its a workaround .
