  1. A customized "led sled" pickup truck based on a 1950s Chevy pickup Sketchup model from 3D Warehouse which I remeshed in Blender 2.83 (actually BforArtist fork) with the Quad Remesher plugin and customized a bit in Hexagon 3D & BforArtist. Too comfortable in Hexagon 3D & Silo3D to totally jump to Blender. Also looking into the free version of Houdini.
  2. Traditional style hot rod tire & rim via 1950s / 1960s. The kind that appeared in Hot Rod Magazine & Car Craft when I was a youth cluttering Mom's kitchen table with glue, Testors paints and 1/24th & 1/25th scale car model kits by Monogram, Revell, Johan , Aurora and AMT.
  3. A door to a castle tower or dungeon prison.
  4. Traditional hot rod tire
  5. Everything in the images below were done 100% in 3DC's voxel scuplt room.
  6. Working a traditional styled hot rod coupe based upon this photo I took at the Atlantic Nationals Automotive Extravaganza in Moncton New Brunswick, Canada. But instead of using a 1930s Ford car cab I opted to use a late 1940s pickup truck cab.
  7. Yes, Jim Steranko and of course Jim Starlin where incredible. I had a lot of comics too, including some early Fantastic Four including first issue The Thing fought the Hulk which was issue #7 I think. And I had all of the early Amazing Spiderman from issue 18 (the Steve Dikito years and all of the John Romita years). My youth was spend reading comics, building /124 & 1/25th scale plastic car models and watching & playing hockey. I used to sketch during class hours in school images of hot rods, cars, superheroes & hockey stuff.
  8. Would it be possible to add a grow or shrink selection option to the Pose tool in the Sculpt room. I'm thinking kind of like how in Photoshop you can grow or shrink your selection. Cheers & many thanks... Kenmo
  9. For some reason I just had to fire up Corel Painter 2019 yesterday and not Lightroom, Photoshop, Blender, Silo3d or 3DCoat. So I launched Painter after being idle since early fall and created this.
  10. I also cherish my Digital Art Masters books. I have volumes 4, 5 & 9. I hope to purchase more. 11. Christmas 2019 I received a Chapters gift card and purchased "Framed Ink: Drawing & Composition for Visual Storytelling" by Marcos Mateu-Mestre https://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/framed-ink-drawing-and-composition/9781933492957-item.html?ikwid=Framed+Ink%3a+Drawing+and+Composition+for+Visual+Storytellers&ikwsec=Home&ikwidx=0#algoliaQueryId=57ff460846544e6dcd75237a3d64a988 I grew up reading hockey and car/hot rod magazines. I also was a big fan of Marvel Comics but NO DC comics until Jack Kirby quit Stan Lee and went to DC. Jack Kirby Fantastic Four), John Romita (Spiderman), John Buscema (just about every Marvel title) and Barry Windsor Smith (Conan the Barbarian comcis by Marvel) where my favorites. Later it was Frank Frazetta when I started reading the Conan series in paperback as well as other works of Robert E Howard. Later I discovered Heavy Metal magazine and I became intrigued with Moebius & Corben . Also love the work of Will Eisner and his graphic novels of early New York City in the 1900s and immigrant neighborhoods of NYC. I also love the work of the late Dave Stevens - The Rocketeer comic book which had a female who bore a close resemblance to Bettie Page (IMHO Bettie Page was one of the most beautiful ladies of ALL time and still is). And Paul Chadwick creator/writer/artist of Comics Concrete. Illustrations with Photoshop by William Rodarmor https://www.amazon.ca/Illustrations-Photoshop-Designers-William-Rodarmor/dp/0596008597/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=Illustrations+with+Photoshop&qid=1589493919&sr=8-3 The DC Comcis Guide to Digitalling Drawing Comics by Freddie E Williams II https://www.amazon.ca/DC-Comics-Guide-Digitally-Drawing/dp/0823099237/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=freddie+williams&qid=1589494200&sr=8-6 DC Comcis Covergirls by Louise Simonson - Found this book on a bargain table for $12.99 Canadian at a local Chapters book store. Fell in love with the book after thumbing through a couple of pages. https://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/dc-comics-covergirls/9780785834366-item.html?ikwid=DC+Comics+Covergirls&ikwsec=Home&ikwidx=0#algoliaQueryId=d81009d8049e789c41506b71954e8264
  12. Thanks Carlosan, always appreciate your posts and links. Thanks very much.....
  13. Kindly feel free to post any good art books which you have and would like to recommend. I purchased this book by Doug Chiang a few years ago and it has since been revised. I thoroughly enjoy it every time I pick it up and browse thru it's pages. 14. I really dislike these videos without narration. I watched this several times and I have NO idea of what you are doing OR what tools are being used. Most of the videos ABRanger does with audio are top notch, easy to follow and very informative.
  15. Anton's tutorial on creating models with 3D Coat really opened my eyes & mind to some possibilities I never thought would be possible in 3DC. Here's a set of rims for a hot rod I am working on. The rims were 100% created in 3DC's voxel sculpt room. I've not tried to retopo yet. Love Anton's tutorial. I wish there were more tutorials on hard surface modeling, especially vehicles and specifically autos... Cheers & please stay safe & keep healthy....
  16. I prefer the Blender applink on the Blender N panel as well.
  17. Watched the first 10 videos and ran out of time. I am quite pleased with the video so far. Will definitely being watch the rest tomorrow. And will most likely watch it a couple more times. This is just what the 3DCoat hobbyist who is a car nut like me needs... Thanks Anton. You rock!!!!
  18. Thanks for posting this. I just grabbed it from Gumroad and with thediscount code offered until May 9th, I got it for 1/2 price. Like Abranger, I follow Anton on Youtube and find his & Abranger's tutorials of the highest quality and worth the time watching. If this video is 1/2 as good as his youtube videos, it will be a fantastic buy. Downloading as I post. Cheers Kenmo
  19. What is the Gob addonon? Is it a replaceent or update of the Blender Addon?
  20. They are for Blender, however Blender can export to OBJ, FBX & DAE which 3DC can import. And they are FREE... https://gumroad.com/l/kMcJ
  21. KITBASH3D is giving away their Utopia kit if you enter in code BRIGHTARTDARKTIMES at the check out, after placing the item in your cart. https://kitbash3d.com/collections/kits/products/utopia?variant=6823622672407
  22. Searching among my 3D projects on my hard drive, I found this 3D model of a watermill I created many years ago and completely forgot about. I need to take the model into 3D Coat to texture it. Then create a setting in Vue Creator for a 3D rendered scene. I never know what unfinished projects I'll find on my hard drives.
  23. No offense but I find this video too hard to follow as I am not acquainted with the language.
  24. Perhaps the betas should have a message upon launching "Please be advised you are using a BETA version 4.xxxx which is prone to instability. Our most current STABLE release is 4.xxxxx. Please us the stable release if you require stability". Or something to that ilk.
