You can just go ahead and use the student version without getting into trouble Unless you break the rules (use it for commercial use), you are free to buy and use it. I would like to share a trailer for an upcoming game called The Witcher 3. Since release of this video I've been SO impressed by it, the animations, the modeling, everything... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0i88t0Kacs It's a rare thing to see such a quality trailer for videogame. Can anyone explain how these video's are made? Is there a big team working on such video's, and do you think they use motion capture?

Did you model everything in 3D Coat? -
Is it possible to use regular tools with the 'draw with closed splines' tool? I want to delete/add a certain area I've drawn with that tool, but all it does is paint it green. What can I do with this? I tried googling this and got a video tutorial but it didn't answered my question

After having watched a ton of video tutorials including Javis Jones' complete 3D Coat training (these are fantastic btw.), I'm still wondering why or when to use surface tools. Why should I use surface mode for sculpting instead of voxel sculpting (besides performance)?
