Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted January 16, 2014 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) You can load whatever shape you want to, from the Splines pallet. You also can click on a node/point and use the gizmo to squash it (to make the shape more oblique). If you want that to be applied to the whole curve, you would just check "Apply to Entire Curve" in the Tool Options Panel, beforehand. Advanced Member Monkeybrain Posted January 17, 2014 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) yeah, thank you ... but so I need for every ellipticshape e.g. an OBJ as a profile. Have also an other Question is it possible, that 3DCOAT can maybe import/export once a day *.ai splines? You should save export any vector graphics you have, as an EPS file. Easy to do, and probably the most common way to bring it into other apps as well. Again, you can start with the curve as a round tube and scale/squash it along a single axis, to get an eliptical shape...and the splines pallet allows you to switch to a number of other shapes if you want.
