Member Sub-Zero Posted September 24, 2015 Member Report Share Posted September 24, 2015 How can I import a complex multi-partial object to separate layers? I want to hide some layers and sculpt over other ones. (I want to bake a single normal map, afterwards) I sculpt and unwrap a single low-poly mesh. I detach several objects from it, in 3ds max. Then I export it to .OBJ. But when I open it in 3d-coat, it turns to the single mesh.
Carlosan
Could you assign different materials to every object ?
Member Sub-Zero Posted September 25, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) Yes. When I try to import it back to 3ds max, it's separated. But in 3d-coat, it's a single volume Edited September 25, 2015 by Sub-Zero
Contributor Solution ajz3d Posted September 25, 2015 Contributor Solution Report Share Posted September 25, 2015 Hey Sub-Zero, if you're importing to Sculpt Room, then try ticking the "Import w/o Voxelization" option.
