Member davide445 Posted September 3, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted September 3, 2016 Last thing in this model I need to add fur. I tested many brushes, included the Hair one with these results. Even if not so bad it's not what I was searching for, with more elongated strips instead of some patchwork, any suggestion how to create more realistc superficial fur? Carlosan
Export the model to another app with fur tool is the best option. Which need to be the final result ? Do you need a final image, a working VR model... ?
Member davide445 Posted September 3, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted September 3, 2016 The model will be 3d printed and next superficially oil painted, to be used in a natural museum. So I didn't need a perfect real thin fur since will not be possible to 3d print it, I was thinking about some superficial detail, with elongated elements to mimic flattened fur. Contributor Tony Nemo Posted September 3, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted September 3, 2016 (edited) There are several 'Hair' alphas. I would try these to get the detail you want. Use a longer stroke. I notice that "Rotate Along Stroke" doesn't give predictable results. The "Scratches" tool does very well, try it.
