Hey guys.. I'm really new to 3d Coat and to modeling in general.  I am really struggling with some basic concepts here.

I made a mesh from a brass figurine I have.  All the detail is in the geometry and is about 3 mill polygons.  The one pictured has "old copper" shader.
I retopod my mesh and created UVs.
I am trying to bake (with Normal per pixel), but I cannot seem to capture any detail whatsoever.  My normal maps just come out flat.

I have watched many videos and tutorials but I have no idea what I am doing wrong.  Any help appreciated.  TIA!
