Member LiquidBlue Posted April 3, 2009 Member Share Posted April 3, 2009 Hi, It is very hard to do thin objects or I am not doing them correctly? I tried to do this bat but I could not do it in 3D-coat, because it was so easy to "make holes" in the wings. I retopo'd it and used a modeler to put the wings on the bat and used merge object in 3D-coat. It would nice to do all the sclupting in 3D-Coat. When I merge it, it has holes anyway. Thanx, for a great program. Mats O.

Andrew Shpagin
And of couse if holes appear try to use bigger resolution. If you are merging object, scale it up. If you are sculpting and see that resolution is not enough, press Inc resolution.

philnolan3d
I did not notice the small combobox before. Yes, hopefully the new interface will make things like that easier to find.
Advanced Member renderdemon Posted April 6, 2009 Advanced Member Share Posted April 6, 2009 I don't agree much here, thin surfaces are a limitation of the system. It could be cool if the smooth brush could avoid making hole with them.
