  1. Thank You, this wasn't obvious. Looking forward to giving it a thorough ride!
  2. Hey Guys! Where can I get the beta? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but I just go into my hlp menu check for updates, and my version is up-to-date (4.8.10. ) I appreciate any help. Thanks.
  3. hey-hey, I'd also be more than happy to pay for an automated addon/workflow for eevee and cycles.
  4. Hi! I'm a reocurring forum user. I bought 3DC when it was in 3.5, now I'm making a big push to get back into this mind blowing software, as my career went in different directions where this wasn't my main modeling package...bla-bla. So as expected I'm searching for a few answers, I hope this is the right place to ask them, Andrew steered me in this drection, so I hope I'm cool. Q: is there a way to rotate things in two axis at the same time. For example like when I press "r" twice in blender I have an arbitrary rotation. I found that translating on a certain plane XY,XZ,YZ has been added recently, so am I missing something with the rotations. Thanks in advance. cheers.
  5. Haha! I love it makes me wanna follow in your footsteps! Bon! bon!
  6. I'm enjoying this thread so much. Besides modeling a nice horse I can see you're a fun person (those WIP images made me laugh). For rigging you might want to use the anzovin plugin that has a modular system for rigging newbies like me But the Fahrenheit rigging tutorials are also very cool. check them out. Peace!
  7. nice going Gavin! AWESOME blog! Don't forget the freshness!
  8. +1, maybe 16 bits would be nice too, just to have more freedom in post...they say 32 bit textures are a bit overkill, but I'm no expert so why not
  9. Hey Michalis! I LOVE your rocks! They rock! I read how you did it, an I have to say, that I only understodd half of it But if by any chance you have time for an illustrated, or maybe video tutorial...that would be awesome! you rock! cheers, Adam
  10. Hey! il like this character, it's a good start to a promising design... keep it up!
  11. Another quicky! Awesome 2D software! this was done on a tileable plane (built in) I don't know why but imported .obj 1 poly meshes seem to be slow?! for some reason. The painting. Yes a ONE poly plane....hmmm
  12. 2DCoat rocks! I did this quick sketch in 3DC cause at work i don't have access to Photoshop. But wait! Who needs photoshop if 3DC can do the job of fast painting. Hell yea. There could be some improvements, but i'm going to go ahead and work out a workflow for painting in "2D". With the 3D camera you have all the freedom needed if you're into rotating the canvas. Let me quote a master I look up to regarding 3DC: " The future looks bright!" (Bay Raitt) here's my doodle: this was painted on a cube btw
  13. Hey! the second try (purple) looks neat. I really like some of your forms there
  14. Thanks Artman! here is my first retopo in 3DC. It took about 4 hrs, but it'll get faster soon. Manual retopo of course
  15. Woah! This is a funny one! Love the rabbit-carrot scene. Made me laugh! Let's see what you make of it... cheers.
  16. Hehe, nice presentation! I like the way you delivered this one, even being a wip, it has a mood Not much to crit here, carry on exploring! ciao, Adam
  17. different type of character, it took a while to do it, but let's call it a doodle for now
  18. Hi! I saw this feature and found it useful in another app similar to 3DC. SomethingBox I think So when I ended a MB sculpting session and saved the file in it's native format, the app automatically created a small screenshot of the current viewport and named it with the same file name.jpg. Like this I could easily browse through my sculptures and know which incremental file I'm going to continue to work on without actually opening it. Just a little nifty feature. It really helps when categorizing models. Probably useful for kitbashing too. Not a must have, but a could have I love the program Andrew! Thanks for everything... Adam
  19. I love the proportions! Sweet piece this one!
  20. Hey Pete! Totally know what u feel about this app. Funny thing is, that I didn't even buy it for it's voxel sculpting abilities, but for the best retopo engine and the funky painting skills it has, and now I find myself falling in love with voxels too eh?! What a bonus! Welcome to the Andrew fan club! I'm such a noob in this app, but I can't help myself...pfft
  21. OUCH! Now I feel stupid! Thanks digital for the links Sorry for not searching the forum! instead I spammed it with a fanboy thread... Admins, please feel free to delete it sheeesh. The old schoolizm just got to me :P
  22. Hey guys! I was just wondering whether my very first modeling idol uses 3Dcoat? We're talking about the father of Gollum here! According to a couple of vimeo links courtesy of PhilNolan@ cgtalk. he does! I mean sorry for starting a topic like this, but this dude is like the MAN for me, ever since his spiraloid website set the tone for modeling edgeloops the right way.... Anyways, it was a pleasant surprise for me! I didn't buy the software becasue of this, but this little discovery just made my day. Oh, and the videos are killers. Don't be intimidated if you can't throw up stuff like him, he owns us If you're up for some old schooling that envolves Bay, this is your topic. If not, please ignore... ciao
  23. I dig the face and the overall proportions! Them toes and hands need a little bit more love they seem to have gotten the least attention. are these voxels? keep us posted.
  24. I'm flattered by the quality of your work! The icing on the cake is the nice marble shading. And hey I get why you do retopo for static moels: who can stand messy edgeflow on a finished piece?! But otherwise if it EVER gets animated (we've senn moving sculptures in films already) you're already ahead of the pack with nice edgeflow. cheers!
