  1. Hey, ich skaliere immer die Texturmaps selbst z.B. auf 1% dann kann man oben in der Leiste immer auf zurücksetzen und hat die jeweilige Skalierung.

  12. Hey all, iam doing some gameassets for unrealengine and building with them some worlds. My last 3d-coat learning testproject was this "dirty" handgun (actually rifle).The modell is way scifi, skin is Paintballstyle xD. Made some rifles before but didnt finish them. Its now ready for houdinibeta in UE, i hope. Iam very interested in some tipps, especially for retopo. Baselod - 10.086 tri - 1x4k 1x2k 4x512 texture

  14. it says scale is 1.0 but the scene parts have different scales. From 15x to 32x
  15. i extracted the parts, repaired the mainpart and made an new clean savefile. Its all fine now and i could bake it. My theory is that it has been triggered by my improper handling with the "apply symmetry" function in the retopologymenue and having different retoplayers active. edit: yes i could move the snaps and it was no visual bug.
  16. Hey, after i retopoed the mainpart in my scene i went over to the other parts. Some hours later i came back to get ready for baking with the mainpart. But suddenly the mesh was destroyed. How can this happen ? badly i didnt save the proper mesh Edit: more and more points snappin to somewhere, cant find my mistake....
  17. In Keyshot its all fine... i surely do some mistakes at importing in Unreal, in some days iam at the point where it has to work. I will report where my mistake was.
  18. I have three meshes in my retoporoom. I normally export after painting in paintroom with File -> Export objects... but in the UE4 editor the childs dont show up, if i pull down the .fbx. Do they show up in Unity, after you exported like this with just severell retopogroups (meshes) in retoporoom? But the exported Filesize of the .fbx is clearly bigger then one single mesh, maybe i do some mistakes at importing in UE4.
  19. So i modeled another asset with dem lods, but i cant get it exported as .fbx until now. How is the procedure to export .fbx with different meshes in retoporoom ?
