Member another666 Posted March 9, 2013 Member Report Share Posted March 9, 2013 How do I mask of a section of my mesh (in paint room) so it can not be painted on ? I am working through tuts all over the place but am missing this bit .. I have read the 3dcoat manual about mask but still do not know how to mask off bits .. Also when I am using alphas/brushes I sometime need to constrain the axis it move along is there a way to do this, It usually is by holding down the shift key .. What I need to do is stamp out my brush a few times along the same axis with them evenly spaces and lines up .. is there a way to do this. Thanks

Contributor ajz3d Posted March 9, 2013 Contributor Report Share Posted March 9, 2013 I think Freeze tool is what you're looking for. It's like masking in ZBrush. About the second question (from the first post), try entering the E-panel ('e' key by default) and choose "Draw with lines". It allows you to paint with straight strokes. Sorry, I misunderstood. You can rotate it on the fly, too, using the 9 and 0 keys.
