Greetings and welcome to the community.

Kindly uni stall and re install , and before install delete the 3d coat folder in your documents folder.  (Libraries\Documents)

You can also press restore default material on the smart material panel , although uni stall and reinstall is a safer option.

There must be a way without reinstalling as I modified this awesome piece of software. Could someone please export those "scrached" materials as extension and upload this for me? This should work.

Regards

Matthias

Here ya go...

Also what version of 3DC are you using... The latest version has fixed some problems concerning smart materials...

Link to beta version if interested.

Windows beta version is at 4.5.28 with Mac and Linux a few beta versions behind. Read what each version adds or fixes... Decide whether you want to stay with the current release from the main 3DC website. It gets updated every so often when the 3DC team have a stable version to replace the current one.

Keep abreast of the beta thread to see about new features or fixes and problems...

EDIT: Since you dowloaded the file, I am now removing it...

Remember this cardinal rule....ANYTIME you make an edit to a Smart Material, you NEED to save it as a NEW material. Otherwise you are overwriting the default material when you click SAVE.
