Member Czepta Posted September 6, 2016 Member Report Share Posted September 6, 2016 Hi not sure why but often when using surface mode my meshes will become corrupted. I think this example happened after using the cloth sim. I tried fixing the mesh but it just becomes a mess. So the only way to fix it is basically to go in and redo it after I already spent and hour working on it. Any idea if I can fix this or not? And what is causing it? Thanks! Carlosan
Hi ! Are you using the last version ? Multiple inner holes, too complex topo-structure, unclose-ness of the mash may lead to failure of algorithm.
Javis
What are your OS, video card & video card drivers?
Member Czepta Posted September 6, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted September 6, 2016 Hey guys thanks for your response. I have the latest nvidia drivers for a GTX 970m. Running windows 8. I am using the steam 4.7 dx11 pro version. What does uncloseness off the mash mean?
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted September 6, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted September 6, 2016 In the Geometry menu try "Clean Surface", "Close Holes" and/or "Cleanup Memory". Maybe finish up with the Smooth All button at the bottom of the tool bar.
Member Czepta Posted September 7, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted September 7, 2016 Thanks Tony it helped a bit, will just need to clean it up a bit. Better start saving more versions.
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted September 7, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted September 7, 2016 Autosave (in Prefs) will save every ten minutes or whatever time interval you want.
