Advanced Member Dmitry Bedrik Posted April 24, 2018 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 24, 2018 How can I align a vertex along an axis or between several vertices?

Advanced Member Dmitry Bedrik Posted April 25, 2018 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 25, 2018 (edited) This is absolutely not it. I need to align the vertices along a single plane. Or along the edge, for example. Just somethink like this in Blender. Edited April 25, 2018 by Dmitry Bedrik

Taros
No. He just want to distribute existing vertices between the first and the last vertex by using equal distances for example. This is something I would like to know, also.

The video shows the usage of the Transform tool to do this, but also the usage of the Align Vertices tool as well.

Carlosan
Hi Taros, nice to see you Hope this help: You can use Align Vertices selecting a curve as guide
Taros
Hey Carlosan: Yeah. Long time ago, I was here... Best regards! This is what we expect. Just a vertex distribution. Here an example from Blender:

That is what I meant by "it may not be exactly what the OP is looking for." But, it does align the verts even if they are not equally spaced....yet. The even spacing is a feature I think Alexander (developer of the Retopo/Modeling tools) could add. What I would try to do in the mean time is use the ALIGN tool (or TRANSFORM + scale along a specific axis) > Click RELAX button as many times as needed to space the verts evenly > click Align Vertices one last time.
