Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted June 4, 2010 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted June 4, 2010 I can't figure out for the life of me what I am missing here, but according to the manual and the video manual tutorial, the split tool is supposed to cut the selection away and place it in a separate layer. This is vitally important, as it will be one of the main tools used to split a model into layers that can then cached to disk. I had been having the same issues in other files, but thought I might be missing some step. After testing it again today, same problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KPV1ugOIdI 3.3.02 Win7 w/CUDA

philnolan3d
Yes I see the same thing here it doesn't seem to work at all. It creates a new empty layer, switches to the Transform tool, and that's it.
