Advanced Member David Schoneveld Posted June 23, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 23, 2012 probably not in that instance either way since it was a display driver crash.

Reputable Contributor digman Posted June 24, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted June 24, 2012 Sometimes after a hard crash when you reload 3DCoat it knows it crash and will ask if you want to load the crashed file or delete it. This does not happen in all cases, other times it will ask like BeatKitano saids... Save often, rule of thumb for all software and a few backup copies too... Advanced Member Britain Posted June 24, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 24, 2012 Sometime back Phil has a discussion with Andrew on this. http://3d-coat.com/f...?showtopic=1153 There should be an option to autosave while active or inactive. Usually crashes when your deep into scultping something, and something should blink to warn you that the program is going to save. Note even though Auto save is checked its not saving. This brings up another point , it saves to a userdata for auto save. Though the file is saved as to another location. School me on how this works?
