  1. Great! The higher res your voxelmodel is, the better it goes. Not sure, but I think the black and white should be far apart to get crisp results.
  2. Maybe vector displacement is not dependant on the normals of the object ( ? ) It is complicated stuff I think. Try PTex in the new beta

  5. It is entirely possible in the paintroom, using paint only in creases, or " more on heights " etcetera....See manual for these options....
  6. Is it not possible to load it as a mask or material or am i saying something silly? ?Use highres though. and paint with one tool gives sharper result than other brush...give it a try.

  13. Great! Thanks for explaining.The Ptex-UV maps look funny don't they? Well I never tried microverts so that can be skipped then. A displacement map is true displacement as opposed to normalmaps, isn't it? So the model with displacement can be printed, too???
  14. Trying Ptex, Can anyone explain what is special about it? I really like it, I think, but how is it different from PPPainting?

  19. I tried the automapping and then exported and imported again in voxels. It still crashes during makemesh closed.
