Well, I thought I would go back and re-do the textures and rig for Ben. Here's the updated renders:
-
Just +1'd it on Mantis.
-
Really good progress.

No no... I think the chains work. May housing parts of his victims, or people he has conquered!

-
That's just a regular look whilst using the BETA version, no?
-
Leigh, the updates are superb. Muscle groups and form are excellent.
-
That's looking like the start of a nice model.
-
Love the final render.

3dcoat for feature film use, must have features
wave of light replied to geo_n's topic in CG & Hardware Discussion
I agree, at first glance it doesn't look like Mari does that much more than 3DC to justify the $2000 price tag and if Andrew can work some of your requests into the next version, then happy days. I still don't get how Pixologic can sustain their business model of no upgrade fee for ZB... it just must be that popular. But then again, I don't think I'm anywhere near $795 (cost of a new ZB licence) having purchased 3DC 4 years ago and upgraded once. -

Apart from whether or not 3DC could do that in future development plans, that was extremely interesting to watch. -
Welcome to the club A. Lynn - lots of friendly people on here to help. Here's to seeing more people from your class.

Very enjoyable and the creatures looked and moved well... made my skin crawl too, so thanks for that!

Animation in the 18th Century
wave of light replied to Tony Nemo's topic in CG & Hardware Discussion
Wow. To be able to backwardly construct those motions is an amazing achievement. To bring it all together in that way is mind blowing. -
Hi FreezeFrame. Coming from sculptris you should be up and running with 3DC in no time. Check out the youtube channel and the workflow videos to get you up to speed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0j3eOUZqug and then check out the tutorials section: http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showforum=15

Welcome aboard Ana. Great gift from your husband!

Yes David, I use Google hangout, alongside Skype... but like you say, Skype are getting clever with their video sharing. A little tip to get around the annoying 'you need to upgrade' pop-ups is to stop your video stream first and then go to 'share screens'.

Welcome aboard Kurt and Diogo!

He's got that 'Clash of the Titans' look about him. Welcome back David, hope you're well.
