how about a kickstarter to buy out the rights and make it open source?

i user a razer naga with 12 buttons as my mouse, and my other hand is on the keyboard using shortcuts. for painting i guess i can see how this would be nifty, but i think i'd still miss my shortcuts.

yeah as abn ranges said: SLI is only for gaming. and for that you do need identical cards. but for gpu rendering ( which is where multiple cards are useful) you can mix and match any cards you want.

id also try some older drivers. The most recent drivers for me are useless on both bamboo and intuos tablets.

well seeing as both the 980 and 970 take up 2 pci slots... im not sure how its gonna fit.. i mean if you have space for 4 gpu cars, you're probably gonna pack it with gpu cards... It looks like someone didn't do their thinking... maybe next round they'll start making long motherboards and spacing out the pci slots..

and where are supposed to put these if you have 3 980's in your computer?

it was never transferable ( officially). But they said that if you give your account with username and password to someone else, then there is nothing they can do about it and don't really care. I remember reading a discussion about this somewhere...

i love my mouse, i got a razer naga with 19 buttons =) But for sculpting and texture painting i use a wacom pen. Because you just can't get the same results. With a pen you can change pressure/radius on the fly, so you can paint tapering, fading strokes with a lot of control. Can't do that with a mouse. granted, this is all more important if you are actually good at drawing. If your drawing skills are zero, a wacom will be of little help.

damn.. this looks sweet. thats a lot of reading though. i think it will take a while before this can approach 3d coat. Andrew is pushing 3d coat forward at crazy speeds.

if you feel stuff is wonky, try install older drivers. for me the latest drivers are terrible, make my strokes all wonky..

well i guess thats a bit dissapointing for me.. for an extra $100 i could've got the 780 strix 6gb.. bummer.. oh well. good thing i got 3 pci slots =)
