Advanced Member arumiat Posted March 23, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 23, 2015 You need a compatible software like Zbrush or Maya to tap into this right L'Ancien?
Advanced Member L'Ancien Regime Posted March 23, 2015 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) IPR real time render. I loaded a more detailed version of this as a 8.6 million poly surface mode .obj. It took about 10 seconds for the IPR renderer to load it but thereafter it really rapidly re rendered it every time I changed the angle on it. I may be wrong but I think you can use PR Pro server stand alone..and this comes with Pro Server

Advanced Member Aleksey Posted March 24, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted March 24, 2015 how does this stack up against gpu renders ( apart from the 8.6million poly thing) Speed wise.

I have no idea. .All I know is that it's better than Maxwell and that's saying A LOT. I wish it had Maxwell's library of scientifically measured materials though. But I have years of study ahead of me on this and so I'm simply not qualified to judge at all.

Member Rebelismo Posted March 24, 2015 Member Report Share Posted March 24, 2015 how does this stack up against gpu renders ( apart from the 8.6million poly thing) Speed wise. Compared to gpu renderers, it's a lot slower. On another note, has anyone tried to IPR the centaur scene that they've provided within the community section of the website? I was getting an error with Maya 2015 and that particular scene. I'll keep testing it over the next few days to see how it stacks up against PRman 18.
