It is needed Its assigned into RMB. Is that not good shortcut? I think i will fix that "ctrl delete all" bug. In my tests I like to use rmb and it feels natural, for me at least Edited October 23, 2020 by haikalle

Reputable Contributor Silas Merlin Posted October 24, 2020 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted October 24, 2020 Cap tool seems totally broken in your build ?
Applink Developer haikalle Posted October 24, 2020 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted October 24, 2020 Yes. that build was only meant to test master tool behavior. When master tool will be included 2021 at some point all other tool are working as they should.
Reputable Contributor Silas Merlin Posted October 24, 2020 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted October 24, 2020 the cap tool's original purpose can easily be fulfilled with another tool, but it has another use that has no equivalent to my knowledge : I use it to find holes, double vertices, etc.. oh well. it will be difficult to go back to a regular build :/
Applink Developer haikalle Posted October 25, 2020 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted October 25, 2020 Was able to create icon in 2021 build. Now only need to code the rest

Advanced Member gbball Posted October 25, 2020 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 25, 2020 I used your modified retopo tool on one of my characters yesterday while streaming on twitch. You can see it here. It is very handy.
Applink Developer haikalle Posted October 25, 2020 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) @gbball Thanks for sharing this. Always nice to see others workflows. Here is my thoughts after seeing your video: - Do we need brush tool into CTRL. I didn't remember that you could able to move indivitual vertexs so easily. So my suggestion is this. - Remove brush tool from CTRL and assign split rings tool from SHIFT + CTRL into CTRL. - That way we could add something new for CTRL + SHIFT ( Cap tool for example ) how does this change sounds like? Advanced Member gbball Posted October 25, 2020 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 25, 2020 That sounds interesting. To be honest with you I forgot that the brush tool was an option... I think you can go deeper and play with the order of clicks...some might like the brush functionality...and I'm sure I would use it/need it in certain instances...Especially being able to smooth things out. Maybe you could do what you've suggested, but also remap the brush tool to RMB then hold ctrl and release RMB...while Ctrl is down, it behave as it does now and you could press shift to smooth and use right mouse drag to adjust the size and strength. I little more advanced, but Zbrush does this for a lot of things...It also maps all the vert movement to the same button.

Reputable Contributor Silas Merlin Posted October 25, 2020 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted October 25, 2020 I used the tool for over two whole days and yes I did find Shift+brush useful to smooth things. I still miss edge loops tool because like I said before, when using edge loops tool I/you need to edit geometry.
Reputable Contributor Silas Merlin Posted October 27, 2020 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted October 27, 2020 The tool has a lot of trouble with points/faces when there is already retopo geometry on the other side of the sculpt object (hidden from sight), whereas the original points/faces tool has no issue in that situation. Perhaps this tool can be linked to the Tool Options panel, and let the User customize the hotkeys with the different tools they may normally use? It should have a RESET to default button, too, I think. 2
