  1. I just had this problem but in the Render Room .I had show Voxels off in the paint room as to show the (low poly) mesh and painted on it with normal map then went to render room and saw the voxel overlay lol. funny thing was I went to the sculpt room moved the (high poly )Voxel over and rendered both .
  2. I want to have the blob tool have more thickness when conn/done. I can not find where this is done ? I think up in header the On_Plane box and then the Plane OPT. which I can not find info on this section. sculpt room using voxel .4.5.03
  3. I just came across your canine skeletal prim file today and it is most welcome thank you as I will use it to start my daughters dog with it . A +1 on primitives a x-mas mouse for December.
  4. Hey deff if you are in the paint room up top middle theres a x over a blue ball click that as to remove the x and make depth to paint also.. or are you in the sculpt room if there up top see Depth box see if its at 0 (zero)
  5. Buy them all what a Bogart lol take 2-3 out of each list and sell it as a Starter Kit 101 . I don't have Substance yet but its on my x-mas list . Really great that your doing well on these materials that in itself is a lot of man hours you have in them . Worth every penny.

I do not crash . loads in fine with obj. and I am using 4.5.03 I do get some floating squares in the texture editor 2d and on the mesh .it looks say alpha checkers .did as you painted in ppp saved out obj with texture. Then back in with Microvertex painting . I do crash in the Render Room if I check Real Time Render then right to windows desktop .. FYI I am on win 8.1 .
  7. ppp room is there a way to see what material one puts in a layer. even with putting 1 color / smart material on each layer as for control I still cant see what it is? I know the color picker, and turn off all layers but one to see it on the model. Then I can then start the click fest of guessing . wondering others workflow for this.

  9. I can not find any pbrm files anywhere in the 3dcoat 4.5 dir. my Patterns folder is empty . I don't see your materials I just got or any of 3dc . There is a Textures>patterns> that has Artman b rushes in it. mmmm What folder is all the PBR in I should see the MB_Weathering header somewhere? I did Install Extension to load in your MB_Weathering I don't see it or any Smart Mat over / outside in the 3DC4.5 DIR > I CHECKED THEM ALL. im missing something here.
  10. I also have the MB_weathering pack which is huge and well worth the money . Did you alphabetized it or 3dcoat does that automatically and I never noticed. Also as we add are own to it is there a way to move these out to a new/other folder or there locked in there its already Big which is a good thing. In your description it says SP version and Unity 5 (SEPARATE PACKs) later . or your saying its compatible with these.. or your going to make a SP version at a later date ? I only downloaded the 3dcpack this is correct.
  11. Hey javis I just want to be sure I understand that while working in 3Dcoat the viewport is gamma 1.0 linear and the final render output is in sRGB which is 2.2 gamma ?

IF your in ppp room up top Textures>Adjust>Gamma Correction: then you will see a window with options .I ONLY use this at the end of my final paint before Render . as far as I can tell it applies it but only to that state as soon as you keep working its back at 1.0 then if you re hit it to 2.2 you will not get a uniform gamma try it and you will see what I am trying to say. Why it does this I don't know. I am using 4.5.03 of 3dcoat. win 8.1
  13. Hey Digman a big thank you for explaining this As I had given up on this subject/area of 3dc. I had posted on this in march with 147 looks and no replys so just figured it was a dead end. I did watch all the videos but just kept looking in 3dc for that edit mode button then I would get frustrated and would say why can I not do anything with this Text/Image after I hit enter where is the tool like in PS . When PS was the answer the whole time. I had not set up my 2d editor _ PS link . So again TY for taking your time to help. I will now lift off the curse I gave 3dc on this ... simm simm alah bimm .... it is done! ( I use to live in Ennis Texas east of dallas back in the 80s) I would always get scorpion bites and it was a dry town I do miss the What a Burgers lol
  14. barkest are you saying that that once you commit /hit enter your image is there but now you would like to edit it /re select or make it active agian ? I am not sure you can get back to it and edit it same with the text tool. if you want to just change the color of it etc. .Its as if its set in stone... I could be wrong and I hope I am.
  15. Hey Digman I agree having 2 different app-links is confusing . I am using blender 2.76b and 3dcoat 4.5.03 also I have ( SIMPLE App-LINK 0.3.2) so I don't know about 3Dcoat ver 4.5.21 my ? is the part when you go to FILE MENU>Export To > Blender .It is here that you see this in the drop down ? ( or you are telling what you did saved obj. file in the exchange folder ? ) in 4.5.03 I do not have it also if you do have it did you 1st have to send something from blender to 3Dcoat first? I am on Win 8.1. FYI when I installed the other app-link (Simple 3Dcoat app-link ver 0.3.2) I had to load it /add it outsde of the blender app itself meaning going to my C: drive >program files >blender foundation>blender>2.76>scripts>addons I did a copy and paste there. then started up blender user pref > addons> enabeled SIMPLE 3dcoat Add-On>in addons > and set the Exchange Folder : 3Dcoat v4.5/exchange .save it on the bottom . restart blender then open up 3Dcoat I 1st have to send something over to 3dcoat from blender . Then in 3dcoat in ppp I see my model . under File I will Only Then see > Open in Orginal App and use this it works great for me both ways. I did not try the original applink that comes with blender 2.76 . 1 Last thing in blender make sure you have your model selected then hit Export objects.(the SIMPLE add-on has moved where it is in blender Tabs >TOOLS on the left side. why the 2nd app-link is named SIMPLE I don't know as it adds to the confusion sometimes as in( Try the simple method first in your version of blender) I get what your saying meaning try the Easy addon that comes with Blender NOT THE SIMPLE 3DCOAT APP-LINK. .hope this helps riverdog been there done that.
  16. I am using it in Blender 2.76b and 3dcoat ver 4.5.03 . I am using the Simple 3D coat applink ver 0.3.2 as stated above your Exchange Folder: has to be 3d-coat V45\Exchange . it is working fine both ways for me on win8 .1 machine.
  17. On the start up main screen bottom right there is Open Recent Project: which has a file you last opened ( I think) . My request is to have 3 options here 1 Project : 2 Last Saved File : 3 Last Open File: 1_ Project: being a saved file that stays until the user changes it ( meaning to keep a actual Project your working on there not the last saved or opened file used) I do not know if this is in the professional version . 2_Last saved file : is just that Only a saved file shows up and a date/time stamp would be a nice bonus ( This is now under File :>drop down menu>Open Recent: ) 3: Last open file: This is what 3dcoat has now its just named Open Recent Project : as far as I can tell tracks both saved and opened files or just your last file you opened this would be #3 on my list just rename it to Last Open File and only a file you opened not saved. Most important is the Project : header area as I would like to have a way to keep your main body of work up front and locked in . This could be put in under File > dropdown list PROJECTS> but on the start up would be a pro version pro would also have 1,2,3, project saved slots. thanks
  18. Hey gerky I also asked about windows 10 upgrade just a fyi its in (Off Topic and General CG Related ) I am going to wait a bit to do the upgrade . I am using win 8.1 now.
  19. I have watched your video a few times and picked up a many things as I am just learning 3dcoat and right now am focused on the painting. Great to see it from start to end details and work flow. I copied some of your smart material setups . Plus I had a chance to work on my German as of now I only know ich habe scheibe atem as my daughter says this to her miniature Dachsund lol a great dog just bad breath.

I have windows 8.1 now just wondering if anybody has upgraded to win10 and has it been smooth sailing .I always hate to do to much when I have everything humming along in most software .So any problems you have incurred with any software? also is windows itself painless or is it one big cluster of madness I hate to open a can of worms. I have enough to fix doing 3d models is my house of zen. thanks.
  21. The Smart Material Preview is not that smart or it is nosy always popping up like a bad porn ad then I close it just to have it pop up again . Let us decide what we want to have on screen .All others have the X to close out .I would not mind it as much if it stayed closed but it does not . If this has been switched/updated in a beta then I owe somebody a kingdom.

  23. yeah I hope we will be able to just close/get it off the screen soon having to keep closing and move it to the bottom of screen is frustrating it opens by itself from time to time as I never use the smart mat. preview.
  24. I did try to paint in the editor/uv no good. I re marked seams in in uv room on the non painted areas updated the islands saved it then back over to the paint room and it fixed those non painted ares but gave me new NON PAINTED ones on other objects (Text) faces That where fine so I will keep chasing the rabbit . Ok I brought in from blender just the 1 Text /object that had issues and painted on it and all is good. So it seams to do with the uv s. is it possible I am trying to put too much / objects in the UV space ? all my objects total to 43,000 faces on a 2k map.
