Advanced Member Findus Posted October 30, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 30, 2016 I'm seeing quite regular hard crashes to desktop (without 3d coat giving a warning or offering to send a bug report) when I'm using the vertex lasso to paint a freeze selection. Both with the DX and GL Version of the program. 3D-Coat 4.7.06 Windows 7 64 bit i7-4770K Geforce GTX 670 4GB (Quite old drivers, so I should update them, I guess, but I'm a bit reluctant to do so when my system has been running smoothly for a long time.) Member pior Posted October 30, 2016 Member Report Share Posted October 30, 2016 (edited) Are there any specific conditions required for the crash to happen, that one could reproduce ? I just tried performing a few dozens polygonal freeze selections here (adding and removing) and got no crash, but of course the fact that it is working fine on my machine doesn't mean that it is bug free. I am under win7, i7 2668, with a 750ti running driver 361.91. Edited October 30, 2016 by pior
Advanced Member Findus Posted October 30, 2016 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 30, 2016 Hard to tell, but so far it always happened with more complicated selections that took a while. Several minutes at least. Like masking out a big area with a detailed border and lots of navigating around. (Right now I save the freeze state regularly.) Unfortunately (or luckily) not always, but often enough to imply a connection.

(Didn't get around to do a lot of masks, though.) I'll let you know when I can make a more conclusive statement.
