Member E.V. Posted August 22, 2021 Member Report Share Posted August 22, 2021 Hi guys, I've just activated my license (copy to clipboard then open app), but now it shows a persistent message at the bottom of the screen. It says I would have to reinstall for it to work correctly. Is it expected or just a bug? As everything seems to be working ok I did not reinstall yet. This installation is the DEMO trial I was running before buy.

Member E.V. Posted August 23, 2021 Author Member Report Share Posted August 23, 2021 Hi Carlosan, Thank you for the fast response! Unfortunately it's not ok yet, I did the following: Uninstalled license (help/uninstall); Uninstalled old version app; Installed new version app (2021-34); Copy license / open app / activated ok; The error message still there, same as before (see image). Then I went to the website/member/downloads and noted the last version there is 2021-31... Do you think I should try it again using the 31? Also, I believe I didn't make a CLEAN uninstall, as I just went the automatic route (windows/apps/uninstall). Feel free to add any instructions I'm willing to try. At least the software is working fine \o/
Carlosan
Yes, it is better to make a CLEAN uninstall, deleting all old folders before install again. Hope it help
Member E.V. Posted August 23, 2021 Author Member Report Share Posted August 23, 2021 Sorry for the long message here, but I did detailed so I can keep track of a solution for next time. In all my attempts I was able to run the application at the end, with license activated, no restrictions on texture size etc. Please note that it is the first time I use the software (and I like it a lot \o/), so maybe I'm missing something in my "clean uninstall" described below. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - What I did: - uninstalled license (help/uninstall); - uninstalled software; - deleted: - C:\Users\xxx\Documents\3DCoatTextura-2021 - C:\Users\xxx\Documents\3D-CoatV4 - C:\Users\xxx\Documents\AppLinks - searched disk for "3d-coat" or "3dcoat", I did not find more to delete, apart from some shortcuts; - restart windows; - install new version - open app (without copying the license); - enter login/password; - license is recognized, activated, but the FIXED MESSAGE appears again at the bottom; After that I: - uninstalled license (help/uninstall); - open app (without copying the license); - use the "load license" option; - pointed to my "3DCoatTextura.license"; - license is recognized, activated, but the FIXED MESSAGE appears again at the bottom; Then I though hum maybe I just need to reinstall it overwriting (without uninstall), so I tried it. License is recognized, activated, but the FIXED MESSAGE appears again at the bottom.

Andrew Shpagin
Please send me the license file via PM on the forum or to my email (andrewshpagin@gmail.com) Maybe there is something unusual in the license text, need to check... And the message appears only after the license activation, right?
Member E.V. Posted August 29, 2021 Author Member Report Share Posted August 29, 2021 Ok I'll send it here via the forum PM, yes the message appears right after license activation and stays there. Additionally, I check it again today and can confirm that the message goes away if I deactivate the license (going back to demo mode).
